Amherst College dance programs, ca. 1880-1942.

Includes dance cards and programs from the College's social dances sponsored by various college groups or by the fraternities. Most dance cards allowed a woman to record her partners for a specific dance and are held together by a cord to which a pencil is attached. Also in the collection are examples of cases imprinted with Amherst College symbols in which to place one's dance card; these sometimes contain a mirror.
